JBL Hawaii, Limited was incorporated on September 19, 1968 in Honolulu, Hawaii
as a distributor of architectural hardware and materials. It was founded by William Jenkins, Kenneth Brockman and
James Lum. The name JBL was derived from the initials of the founders’ last names. On March 18, 1994, JBL moved
to our present location at 905 Kokea Street in order to provide additional office and parking spaces, front
counter sales area, as well as a beautiful showroom. We maintain a substantial inventory of finished hardware
(hinges, locks, etc.), hollow metal doors and frames, commercial & residential bathroom accessories,
access doors and roof hatches, door louvers, impact traffic doors, mailboxes, wood doors, shutters, wood
bi-folding and sliding louvered doors, and more. The distribution of architectural material and finished hardware
is a specialized field requiring products knowledge, personalized service, and attention to detail. JBL offers
product assistance and specification writing services to architects and assists contractors and end users with
solutions to installation challenges. JBL operates a wood door shop, hollow metal steel doors & frames
fabrication shop, and a complete locksmith shop on the premises with a full team of locksmiths.
